First place I visited was Dublin, Ireland. It was such a busy place and the accent was kinda difficult to understand lol. Got use to it, after a while, kinda loved hearing it. I saw lots of performers in the inner city, with many buskers performing traditional Irish Music and Dancing. I also visited one of the local pubs ‘The Temple Bar’ which was a great insight into how the Irish people loved singing and having a good time. Amazing!…and most locals were in tune.

Not far from Dublin in the town of Bray was the Groove Music Festival, held in the Kilruddery Estate, area of Wicklow. It was a nice small festival which attracted approximately 5000 people. The 2 acts that brought me to this festival was the old skool group, ‘UB40′ which were a massive hit with the locals. Everyone danced to the well known tunes that they are renowned for like ‘Red Red Wine’, “Groovin’ & ‘Kingston Town’. The night ended off with the smooth love tunes of UK’s own James Morrison, amazing!

Manchester was such a busy place with so many things happening such as the Manchester International Festival and Fringe Festival, and various other local venues busy with live music. I decided to check out youtube sensation ‘Jamal Edwards’, who created his own show comprising of upcoming local UK hiphop stars. I was expecting more of a music show, with lots of various performances, but got more of a comical musical act, with various songs in-between scenes. I really enjoyed the humorous show and totally recommend anyone who is looking to see great local UK talent.

I have to say that Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited in UK. The architecture of the buildings was amazing, also the view of the city from Edinburgh Castle was priceless. The tour of the castle gave me insight into the history of the place and how the strong-hold was used to withstand attacks on the Scottish Army.

There were many venues in with live music, but I chose a bar not far from my hotel called the ‘The Jazz Bar’, which showcase music from 7pm till 3am in the morning. The Katet band performed their original funk soul like tunes, under the direction of Mike Kearney. The band started off with some free-style improvisation and then to more structured like songs which was quite a hit with the regular crowd. A very enjoyable night!

Trey Songz who I haven’t heard his stuff before was a great rnb artist with really good stage presence. Of course the shirt off definitely got the ladies screaming with excitement lol.

Snoop Dog had great remixes of his songs and the continuation into many of his great hits rev’d up the crowd and got them jumping to the groove and beat of his music. An awesome showcase of music!

Notting Hill Gospel Choir Concert (13/7/13)

Originally I was suppose to be attending the Magic Summer Festival, but found out the venue where it was held was about an hour travel out of London, and after travelling for the past week, just didn’t feel like doing it. I’m so glad I didn’t attend because I heard the Notting Hill Gospel Choir in concert. The acoustics of the venue was amazing and carried a lot of the voices from the choir. The band was simply amazing, which consisted of 4 members (keyboard, bass, electric guitar & drums) that had such an amazing vibe between them. This added to the overall sound and made the whole concert an inspirational one. I love my gospel music and this one definitely a heavenly moment. Thanks to Pastor Paul who invited me to his Notting Hill church.

Barclay – British Summer Festival (Hyde Park 14/7/13)

This was definitely a night to remember with 2 of my favourite artists showcasing their stuff in front of an audience of about 15,000 – 20,000. J-LO (Jennifer Lopez) had many costumes to back up her latino influenced performance. She was great at working the crowd and got everyone up and dancing to her well known hits.

Lionel Richie was the highlight for me, playing his popular all-time favourites that got the crowd rev’d up. He performed a lot of his ballad like love songs that the crowd could join in singing such as ‘Endless Love’. He left his big hits till last which were ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ & ‘All Night Long’, which had the crowd go crazy with excitement! A night to remember!
